Facts
A simple focused Google search revealed that there is no record of President Trump making such a statement. No official communication from him, his office, or the United States government confirming any plan to travel to Uganda or arrest President Museveni and Gen. Muhoozi.

There is also no verified statement from Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, confirming any agreement with Trump to “take action” on the alleged date (February 15, 2026).
Evidence
We started by using the Info Verifier tool to find out if “President Trump is coming to arrest President Museveni and Gen. Muhoozi.” Our findings indicated that there was no evidence to support the claim.

Additionally, similar past claims alleging that Trump threatened Uganda’s leadership have been debunked by independent fact-checking organisations, namely Africa Check and Pesa Check, which also found no evidence he made such remarks
A review of Trump’s official social media handles, like FaceBook and X, White House FaceBook, X and the Department of State, for indications of any military or legal operation targeting Uganda’s president or his son, but there was none.
We then did a Google search for coverage of the claim with words like “Trump to arrest president Museveni and Gen. Muhoozi”, which yielded no official statement or credible news source confirming that Trump is preparing a mission or legal action to arrest either President Museveni or Gen. Muhoozi.

The claim also alleges that the U.S. president spoke to Bobi Wine and agreed to execute the work on February 15th, 2026, which did not happen.
What is happening
Some U.S. lawmakers have called on the Trump administration to consider sanctions against Ugandan military figures (including Muhoozi) as reported here, here and here in response to alleged rights abuses tied to the 2026 election and political violence. This is a policy discussion, not a military arrest plan.
Verdict
Fabricated: President Trump did not announce a mission to Uganda to arrest President Museveni and Gen. Muhoozi. There is no credible evidence, official statement, or reliable media report supporting it. The message appears to be fabricated.
