Out Of Context: President Museveni did not meet with Uhuru Kenyatta in November 2025

Claim
A user by the names Babu na Sababu posted a video on X(Twitter) of President Yoweri Museveni meeting with Kenya former President Uhuru Kenyatta. He claimed that the two met to discuss the release of Kenyan activists Bob Njagi and Nicholas Oyoo who were held in detention in Uganda for 38 days.

Analysis
Two Kenyan nationals Bob Njagi and Nicholas Oyoo were arrested in Uganda after attending Presidental candidate Robert Kyagulanyi’s manifesto launch in Jinja on October 1st. The two men who spent 38 days in abduction were released on November 9th to Kenyan authoroties after lengthy diplomatic talks between the two countries. President Uhuru Kenyatta was also instrumental in negotiating for the release of the 2 Kenyans.

The video posted of President Museveni meeting President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House Uganda is an old video from April 2025 where President Uhuru Kenyatta was invited as a keynote speaker at the second Annual Guild Leaders’ Summit 2025 held at Makerere University, Kampala on Thursday April 24,2025. He later paid a courtoesy visit to President Museveni at State house.

Verdict: Out of context
The video posted is an old video from April 2025 and it was taken out of context to show that President Museveni and Uhuru Kenyatta recently met to discuss the releas of the Kenyan activists that were arrested in Uganda.
