We examined the post by Kyaggwe TV by doing a reverse image search using Google Reverse Image Search

We found out that the photos that were used are of a vehicle that was involved in an accident with a trail car that happened on April 7th, 2023 on Kinoni Masaka Mbarara highway, and 9 lives were lost as reported here, here, here, and here.

The car involved in the accident is a Toyota Alphard, registration number UBL 314C, and was traveling from Kampala side heading to Mbarara, and the trailer, reg no SSD 327S/SSD 137Q, was from Mbarara/Kinoni town.

On the other hand, the car involved in the Kyaggwe football team’s fans accident is a Taxi Reg—no UBK 432M.

These two accidents occurred in two different years. However, the image used in the claim is from an accident that happened in April 2023, and yet the accident under discussion occurred in June 2024.
