False: Bobi Wine’s house has not been demolished

Claim
A TikTok Video by @truelies54 Showing Robert Kyagulanyi’s house being demolished is AI-Generated and Misleading.
Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, is a Ugandan politician, activist and former musician who has emerged as one of the country’s leading opposition figures. He has contested for the presidency twice, positioning himself as a voice for change, particularly among young people.
Our fact-check team found a post on TikTok from “truelies54” showing the house of Bobi Wine being demolished by an excavator, suggesting the property is being brought down with captions written on “Bobi Wine has no plan at all, it had to be demolished.”
This misinformation comes at a time when authorities, including the Ministry of Local Government and Kampala Capital City Authority, are enforcing trade order measures targeting businesses operating in road reserves and unplanned structures alongside the roads like kiosks in cities, making such demolition claims appear believable even when they are not verified.
Verdict: False: The video is misleading and AI-generated in its demolition scene. While the house shown resembles that of Bobi Wine, there is no real demolition taking place, and the content is designed to simulate an event that did not occur.
